LG IQ with 1GHz chip, Win Mobile 6.5 live at Telus

LG IQ now Telus' new Win Mobile flagship

Telus today countered Bell's releases by adding its own new smartphone. LG's IQ is the carrier's first Windows Mobile 6.5 device but should also be the fastest carrier-linked phone in North America: it runs on a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor and should get a boost both in overall responsiveness as well as in demanding tasks like web browsing.

The phone is slightly customized by LG and has both interface changes as well as widgets, but it's otherwise close to the reference Monaco design seen earlier. Apart from the necessary North American HSPA for its 3G, the phone carries a 5-megapixel camera, GPS, Wi-Fi and a slide-out QWERTY keyboard. Telus is pricing the phone aggressively and asks $100 for the IQ on a three-year plan or $500 completely contract-free.

    Close but no cigar.

Everything sounds awesome.....but it's got Win 6.5. Why can't someone make a phone that has everything good about it, they always have one huge flaw that makes them do a faceplant.
