Nokia intros 5235 CWM handset for Europe

Nokia on Friday introduced a new handset, the 5235 Comes With Music, which serves as an effective upgrade to the existing 5230 phone. The new model brings Comes With Music ready to go and can take unlimited downloads for as long as 1.5 years, all of which can be kept after the subscription ends. The 5235 has a 3.2-inch touchscreen and the battery life to play back 33 hours of music, which can be stored on a 16GB microSDHC memory card.

Users can download music straight from the handset thanks to a shortcut key, or synced from a computer. Like the 5230, a favorite set of headphones can be plugged straight into the handset thanks to its 3.5mm headset jack. A 2-megapixel camera for capturing images is carried over as well.

The 5235 Comes With Music will have access to Nokia's services such as the Ovi Store, Ovi Contacts, Ovi Share and Ovi Maps with pedestrian and drive navigation modes.

In Europe, the 5235 will cost the equivalent of $214 when it comes out in the first quarter of 2010. If and when the handset will ship to North America hasn't been revealed.
