Sony Ericsson launcehs Xperia Pureness in the US
Sony Ericsson on Monday began shipping its unique and flagship Xperia Pureness handset in the US. Touted as the world's first phone with a see-through LCD screen, the handset includes Pureness Concierge, a 24-hour service that will let owners request info for social hotspots and events in any city around the globe.
Sony Ericsson names simplicity as the handset's asset, though this means there are very little features. They are limited to music playback, an integrated FM tuner and Bluetooth support. A camera attachment may be offered as an option later, and the Pureness has quad-band GSM/EDGE network support.
The Xperia Pureness is available at Saks Fifth Avenue and through the Sony VIP Shopping Service for $990.
