Dow Jones, NY Post content coming soon to Reader

Sony on Thursday announced it will bring content from the Wall Street Journal and MarketWatch to its Reader Daily Edition e-book reader, which includes Dow Jones data. At the same time, Sony said it has made a deal with the New York Post to make its Reader the only digital device to offer content from the newspaper. Both newspapers will also market Sony's e-book hardware in its print publications.

Subscriptions to the Wall Street Journal digital content start at $11 per month, but other packages are offered. A regular package that has the day's top headlines will cost $15 per month; a Plus edition adds an update on the world markets daily after markets close for $20 per month. A digital subscription to the New York Post includes the regular paper's news, sports and other content for $10 per month.

The Wall Street Journal and MarketWatch Today will be available early next week, while the Plus and New York Post will arrive in January. Readers can preview the content for free as part of a 14-day free trial.
