Ultraportable offers Intel's Pine Trail platform

HP's upcoming Mini 210 netbooks have surfaced ahead of schedule on eCost.com's inventory listing. The devices feature Intel's Pine Trail platform, based on the new Atom N450 CPUs running at 1.66GHz. The 10.1-inch LCDs sit behind a flush glass panel, while an integrated webcam and mic also come standard. HP ships each model with Windows 7 Starter pre-installed.

The basic model integrates 1GB of RAM and a 160GB HDD, while upgrade packages can bring the drive capacity up to 250GB. Various finish options are listed on the retailer site, including basic solid colors and several patterns.

Although the Mini 210s are listed on eCost, the devices are currently out of stock. Prices start at $322 and rise to $400 depending on the package. [via Laptoping]

cool faster Netbook - just beware of eCost

HP will sell lots of these, great style, functionality and for an good price.
eCost has them listed in inventory, but I suggest shopping around from another retailer. eCost has a horrible record of customer service and if you have ANY problem with your order, you will end up with a huge headache and lots of frustration.

Spend a few dollars more from another retailer and buy yourself piece of mind and not a migraine from eCost.
