2nd Moto Verizon phone has trackpad, more
Motorola's Devour (now likely to be called the Droid Devour) has been spotted today with both a new color and more insight into how it works. Previously only seen in black, the phone now may have the option of silver for its Verizon debut. It's also now explained that the phone uses a BlackBerry-like optical trackpad for navigation when not using the touchscreen and is seen by the BGR source as a "killer" input choice.
The same insider adds that the phone has GPS and Wi-Fi but notes that, like the original Droid, it won't be a world roaming phone and will cling to CDMA and EVDO for cellular calls and data. The keyboard's Sidekick-like positioning and key spacing will reportedly make the Devour "easier to use" than the all-together and offset Droid input method.
When the Devour would appear in early 2010 hasn't been divulged, but the phone is known to have a 3-megapixel camera and use Motorola's custom MOTOBLUR interface on top of Android 2.1.
