ASUS shows concept notebook with two trackpads

While details are thin, a unique notebook PC from ASUS promises to overhaul conventional expectations for notebooks. The defining feature of the NX90 is its dual trackpads, with one of them built right into the palm rest and another to the right of the keyboard. It also has an unusual integrated sound bar behind the large aluminum case; the total speaker area is about 10 times of that found in conventional notebooks.

Inside hardware specifications are indetermined, though ASUS hints it could be powered by a four-core Intel chip and sport a Blu-ray drive. The screen size isn’t specified, but likely to be at least 17 inches.

One important number ASUS is sharing is the intended price of the notebook, if it would begin producing it. As it sits, the PC is said to have a large $2,500 price tag. [via Gizmodo]
