Controller eliminates need for on-screen keyboard
Boxee has introduced the Box Remote, a controller for the company's Box hardware. The remote's front face features a simple layout, with a four-way navigation pad and dedicated buttons for play/pause and home. A full QWERTY keyboard is built onto the back side, allowing users to quickly enter text to the on-screen interface.
The keyboard appears to offer a similar layout to many QWERTY-slider phones, with additional spacing between each key. The front face is made from polished ABS plastic, while the back surface offers a rubberized finish with textured keys.
The company in December announced a beta version of its upcoming Boxee Box. Additional details will be announced this week at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas.
