Samsung shows 6-inch E6 e-book reader

Among a plethora of other products and technologies, Samsung on Wednesday demonstrated its upcoming E6 e-book reader. The 6-inch device has a wireless connection, likely Wi-Fi, to share and get content, as well as a handwriting feature that will let users doodle to their heart’s content. Samsung announced the first partner to provide content for the device will be Google, which has digitized many popular and classic open-domain literary works.

The E6 should prove to be much more featured and capable of bringing the fight to established players such as Amazon’s Kindle and Sony’s Reader than the SNE-50K Samsung was rumored to import from its home market of Korea.

The E6 will ship at an unspecified date later this year, priced at $399. [via ElectricPig]
