iRiver Story e-reader in US soon, Wi-Fi model due

iRiver took advantage of CES to reveal that its Story e-reader will come to the US market later on in January. At the same time, the company said it plans on bringing a Wi-Fi enabled model to the US in the spring as well. What other, if any, added features compared to the standard reader the device will have remains unknown.

The Story is just 0.36 inches thick and sports a 6-inch E-Ink screen. It has a built-in MP3 player, 2GB of integrated storage space and a USB 2.0 connection for transferring content onto it. The battery, meanwhile, is said to be capable of lasting for 9,000 page turns.

In its home market of Korea, the iRiver is priced at the equivalent of about $290. US content and service partners for the Story are yet to be named. [via Engadget]
