Lenovo outs dual screen Android smartphone

Lenovo as part of its CES introductions launched a second and much more advanced Android phone and today put out official photos. The LePhone's unique design works as a full-touchscreen smartphone but has a unique modular design that extends its functionality. It can fit into a case with an external keyboard that turns it into a clamshell; speakers or a second battery are extras.

It also runs a new, heavily customized version of Android with quick shortcuts
and weather on the home screen as well as a visual means of browsing contacts. Underneath, the phone should be fast through a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. A 3-megapixel camera, GPS and Wi-Fi give it expected smartphone features.

For now, the phone is still only set to reach Lenovo's native China and should be available in the first half of 2010. The CES introduction leaves an opening for international models.
