Moto Milestone coming to Telus in January?

The Motorola Milestone, which is due for a release in the Canadian market sometime in the first half of the year, has received an unofficial release date of January 26th for the Telus network. An anonymous Canadian customer says he received the date from a Telus sales representative reportedly prepped for the release.

The Milestone is very similar to the Droid currently offered in the US, though it supports GSM/HSPA networks instead and has multi-touch in default apps. The similarity extends to a 3.7-inch touchscreen with an 480x854 resolution, a 5-megapixel camera and Android 2.0. On Telus' newly launched HSPA+ network, the Milestone is expected to reach download speeds of between 3 and 5 Mbps. [via AndroidAndMe]
