LG shows Art Cinema XF2 multimedia hub in Korea

LG has announced a new home entertainment multimedia hub for its home market of Korea, called the Art Cinema XF2. Unlike some other devices in its category, the hub contains a 500GB hard drive. Like some of its better rivals, though, it can play back 1080p videos in MKV, H264, XviD and DivX. As such, there is an HDMI output.

The XF2 also has the ability to play back most popular photo and music formats. A USB 2.0 port lets users connect the device to their PC to transfer files.

While prices are unknown, the release date in Korea is expected sometime in April. Whether LG will sell the XF2 in North America is not known. [via Akihabara]
