Palm webOS update in Germany allows BT tethering

Palm has released a new webOS update for its GSM Palm Pre in Europe, webOS 1.3.5.2, which lets users share their handset's 3G data connection with compatible devices over their Bluetooth connection. The update is only applicable to Pre users in Germany, however, and appears not to include any other changes.

The latest webOS update for North American Pre users, 1.3.5, launched late last year and improved battery life, used Google Maps or Sprint Navigation when tapping an address in contacts, fixed playing media sent through MMS, and shrank the size of updates. There is no indication of if or when the Bluetooth sharing update is headed to North American users. [via PalmInfoCenter]
