Ultimate Ears 18 Pro a first for Logitech

Logitech's higher-end audio label Ultimate Ears picked the NAMM show to release its best in-ear headphones to date. The Ultimate Ears 18 Pro is the first set to include six separate speakers (drivers) per earbud and provides yet more distinction between treble, the mid-range and bass than the three- or four-speaker sets that often occupy the space. They reduce background noise by 26dB and now have a low-distortion cable that protects the sound until it reaches the earpieces.

The 18 Pro requires a custom measurement at an audiologist before it can be worn but is considered ideal for both professional musicians and audiophiles as a result as it guarantees a good fit and the intended sound. Ultimate Ears asks $1,350 for a pair and doesn't include the audiologist appointment as part of the cost.
