Korg shows updated Kaossilator Pro music pad

Korg at the NAMM audio show has introduced its latest music control pad, the Kaossilator Pro. The new device improves over the existing Kaossilator by retaining its features but endowing it with the KP3's capabilities. Users get 200 sounds and 15 effects at their disposal, all controlled via a central X-Y touchpad.

Outside of the pad, there are also eight programmable buttons for quick access to a preset sound. The Pro also has four Loop record banks, four measures per bank, 31 musical scales and standard MIDI in/out connectors. Other connections involve a 0.25-inch stereo jack, a mini USB connector, RCA stereo input and output, a microphone input and an SDHC memory card slot. Korg's device is cross-platform and recognizes Macs and Windows PCs.

Now available for pre-order and due to begin shipping in March, the Kaossilator Pro is priced at $400.
