T-Mobile to cut prices on number of smartphones

Wireless provider T-Mobile will apparently soon reduce the prices of a number of its cellular phones in response to Verizon's recent plan price drops. While the new prices aren't specified, they are expected to fall by between $30 and $50. The BlackBerry Curve 8520, for example, will be reduced both when it is purchased without a plan and with a 2-year agreement.

The same holds true for the Samsung t349, Behold II, Gravity and Highlight, as well as the HTC Touch Pro2 and Dash 3G. The T-Mobile G1 is also part of this list. Drops for the contract-free prices of the Nokia 3711, BlackBerry Bold 9700 and Motorola Cliq are also due. Exactly when these drops come into effect remains unknown. [via BGR]
