Verizon Pixi and Pre to match Sprint prices

Palm's Pixi Plus and Pre Plus should cost the same as their predecessors do now, a tip claimed today. Despite its expansions, the Pre Plus may cost the same $150 as the regular Pre does now at Sprint after the usual mail-in rebate and contract. The Pixi Plus would match its older equivalent's $100 contract price and may even qualify for a Buy One Get One (BOGO) plan that could provide a second Pixi for free.

The pricing slipped by Phone Arena hints at dropped build costs for the phones even with their new hardware. The Pre Plus doubles the built-in storage to 16GB and is believed to have twice as much RAM, 512MB. Palm's upgrade to the Pixi is more modest but adds Wi-Fi.
