HP dv6t, dv7t get newly optional Core i5 CPUs

HP has quietly updated its existing Pavilion dv6t and dv7t notebooks and now offer the option of Intel's recently released Core i5 processors. The former is a 15-inch system that can otherwise be optioned up with up to 640GB of hard drive space, as much as 8GB of RAM, a 1GB NVIDIA GeForce GT 320M or 512MB GeForce G 105M, a Blu-ray drive and Bluetooth, among others.

The 17-inch dv7t has the same options list, which also includes an available integrated TV tuner. Both systems run on Windows 7 by default. An HDMI 1.3 output port is built into either.

Either system can now be purchased online at HP, with the Core i5-powered Pavilion dv6t starting at $929, while the Pavilion dv7t with the i5 begins at $999. [via PCLaunches]
