Mini 5 internals reveal 1GHz Snapdragon, more

Because Dell has not revealed many specs on its Mini 5 tablet-like device, some have taken it upon themselves to find out on their own by taking it apart. The teardown has revealed that the 5-inch Internet tablet is powered by a 1GHz Snapdragon CPU and has two microSD memory card slots, along with a 1,530mAh battery. There is also a SIM card slot.

Otherwise, the 5-inch tablet will have multi-touch compatibility and a customized version of the Android 1.6 operating system. The device will be available in a few colors, including pink, black and red. It is also known the Mini 5 will have a 5-megapixel camera, and there is the possibility of a secondary, front-facing camera, though this is not confirmed.

If, when and in which markets the Mini 5 will ship is unknown, as is its pricing. [via Tinhte]
