Silicon Power's new 400x CF card range has 128GB

Silicon Power on Tuesday introduced a new, high-capacity CF card aimed straight at professional photo- and videographers. The product is the first of its kind, as it offers a 128GB capacity and a 400X transfer speed. Write speeds are rated at 90MBps and fast enough to easily record HD video.

The new card has support for PIO Mode-6 and Multi-Word DMA 4 transfer mode in a quad-channel configuration for a faster overall transfer to computers. It brings error correction and and wear leveling tech to prolong the card's lifespan over many successive reads and writes.

Silicon Power has also recently introduced a 600X CF card, albeit in smaller capacities. No pricing or launch dates have been revealed for the 128GB CF card, but it will also be available in smaller 64GB, 32GB, 16GB and 8GB capacities. [via DPReview]
