ViewSonic shows off Android tablet, more

ViewSonic on Thursday showed an 8.9-inch tablet PC powered by the Android operating system at a press conference in Beijing. The VTablet 101 is one of the fastest Android devices yet with a 1GHz ARM Cortex-A9 processor for general computing and a separate NVIDIA Tegra T20 chipset for graphics-intensive applications. The display has a 1024x800 resolution and 3D graphics capability, while the device otherwise sports 4GB of built-in storage.

Otherwise, there is a front-facing camera, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules and 3G connectivity support. The device has a projected price of $441, but when it ships is unknown.

Along with the tablet, ViewSonic showed off its previously announced Windows XP MID/phone, the VCP08, a 3D monitor, and its ViewBook line of notebooks. [via ClonedinChina]
