Nokia Cseries to get pre-MWC unveiling
A handful of leaks hint that Nokia should unveil at least one or two cellphones outside of Mobile World Congress and may be the start of the Cseries trademarked last year. Nokia UK chief Mark Loughran has inadvertently revealed that at least one phone is due to appear on the 26th. What the phone would be wasn't revealed directly as press agents cut Loughran short in a conversation with Pocket-lint.
However, a finding at an Indonesian government agency has suggested that the introductions could include either the C3 or C5. These would be entry-to-mid-range phones, possibly smartphones, and would both include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and quad-band GSM that would work in North America. The C5's only apparent advantage would be the addition of 3G, but design, storage and other factors aren't part of the description.
Nokia doesn't plan to have a booth at Mobile World Congress and so may not use it as a primary stage for new devices, but historically it has released some less essential phones in advance of the show to avoid distracting from a high-profile release.
