Haleron outs smartbook with Windows CE, $150 tag

Relative unknown Haleron is offering a new, 7-inch smartbook PC, the Swordfish, which runs on a cellphone CPU and uses Windows CE 6.0 as its operating system in base trim. Processing power comes from a 300MHz VIA ARM processor, and there is 128MB of RAM along with 1GB of built-in storage. The latter two can be upgraded to 256MB and 4GB, respectively.

Otherwise the smartbook has three USB ports, a built-in SD card reader and audio jack, as well as an Ethernet port. Wi-Fi is also onboard, while maximum battery life is said to be eight hours. A 3G module is optional, as is Windows XP or Linux operating systems. Colombia-based Haleron prices the basic system at $149 and offers it in black, silver, red, green or pink. [via i4u]
