Tablet may go to market as the M01M
A prototype of the Dell tablet, which was shown at CES as the Mini 5, has been spotted in the Shenzhen black market. The device, also known as the streak, was marked as "Model M01M" under the battery cover. At least one unofficial retailer has been selling it for 7,500 yuan, or about $1,098 and likely well above what Dell would likely charge for the actual end product.
Device specs were as previously reported and include Android 1.6, a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, and a 5-inch, 800x480 touchscreen. Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and 3G provide the wireless access. The tablet also has a 5-megapixel camera with dual-LED flash and slots for two microSD cards.
Officially, Dell has never said whether it will even bring the Mini 5 to production, although its continued development has made this increasingly likely. [via Engadget]
