Addresses calling, touchscreen issues

Nokia has released an important firmware update for its N97 smartphone. Version 21.0.045 promises better call reliability as well as smoother scrolling on the smartphone's touchscreen. The update also includes browser and music player improvements.

Only the company's second touchscreen phone, its launch was marred by delays and dogged by complaints about the original interface design. Previous firmware updates have helped sales recover, surpassing the company's original expectations.

N97 owners can upgrade their firmware with either the Nokia Software Updater, available on the Nokia support page, or by manually choosing to update from their phones.
