iPhone 3.2 SDK and iPhone 3.1.3 show new devices

A new set of clues to Apple's future handhelds have been revealed today through a search of recent code. The iPhone 3.2 SDK used to write for the iPad includes references in the simulator's library to N89, a previously unknown device. Reportedly "trustworthy" contacts for Engadget claim the number is the codename for the next iPhone, just as the M68, N82 and N88 were the respective codenames for the original iPhone, the iPhone 3G and the 3GS.

The same SDK also references the iPad's codename, K48.

Separately, the recently launched iPhone 3.1.3 firmware has already been searched and makes references to another device, the N80. It's not already known what this represents, but it's more likely to be a fourth-generation iPod touch than a different device altogether.

    Maybe not

Perhaps the N89 is the special-for-China iPhone without Wi-Fi?

For those app developers that don't know Objective-C and Cocoa Touch and don't want to outsource development, check out localbeacon (an iphone app builder) at www.bigforge.com. Great for those who want to build just one app or developers interested in white label.
