Device offers mid-range smartphone features

Nokia is allegedly set to launch a new Symbian-based device, the C5, according to a Daily Mobile report. If the details are correct, the device will serve as Nokia's first Cseries smartphone. The new category appears to offer mid-range smartphone features compared to the company's high-end Nseries handsets and Eseries business offerings.

According to the source of the leaked images, the C5 will offer a 3.2-megapixel camera, 2.2-inch QVGA display, GPS, and an FM radio. Internal memory is said to reach just 50MB, although a microSD slot is also integrated for further expansion. The operating system is claimed to be the Symbian S60v3 FP2 release.

Pricing information for the C5 remains unknown. The device is expected to be unveiled next month at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona.
