HP 23-inch AIO gets quad-core, GT 230M video
HP in mid-week has upgraded its best all-in-one with a tangible speed upgrade. The TouchSmart 600 Quad still has a 23-inch screen but leaps from a Core 2 Duo to a quad-core 1.6GHz or 1.73GHz Core i7. Video performance gets its own lift as the system comes with a dedicated GeForce GT 230M replacing the integrated G210 from before.
Stepping up to the new performance level costs $1,699 after an immediate discount. While HP's deals vary, the current system comes with both the base 1.6GHz Core i7 as well as 6GB of RAM, a 1TB hard drive and DVD burning. Options give it the faster CPU, 8GB of RAM, 1.5TB of disk space and a Blu-ray combo drive. [via SlashGear]

Why does it come with a keyboard and mouse, and a touchscreen?
There is a reason this system hasn't blown up.
The novelty of a huge touchscreen wears off after about 2 minutes, and then you go right back to using the keyboard and mouse.
I don't know why HP keeps trying to schlep this c*** when it never sells well.
Psst. HP, that should be a hint.
