HP G62t notebook with Core i3 now shipping

HP's unannounced and unexpected G62t notebook is now shipping, packing a 2.13GHz Intel Core i3 processor as standard fare. The 15.6-inch notebook has an LED-backlit display along with 3GB of RAM. Users also have the option of three Core i5 chips, ranging from a 2.26GHz unit to a 2.53GHz version, as well as a 2.66GHz Core i7.

The hard drives include 160GB, 250GB, 320GB and 500GB units, all with 7200rpm speeds. Windows 7 Home Premium is the only available operating system. A DVD burner is standard, with a Blu-ray drive optional. Intel's integrated graphics chipset is the only video option, however. The notebook weighs 5.5lbs.

The G62t starts at $600 and can now be bought through HP and third-party retailers. [via Engadget]
