LG Arena Max to get Snapdragon handset

The LG Arena Max smartphone previously only spotted at the FCC has now been leaked on the web, revealing it will sport a 1GHz Snapdragon CPU from Qualcomm. While the Arena Max has a larger body than the original Arena and a larger, 3.5-inch touchscreen, remaining specs should be largely identical. These include Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi and a 5-megapixel camera. The same 8GB of internal storage and a microSDHC memory card slot are also expected.

While the type of operating system the Arena Max runs on is still unknown, it is more than likely it will be smartphone-grade software such as Android or Windows Mobile to take advantage of that fast processor.

An official unveiling is expected to come at next week's MWC show. [via TechDigest]
