ASUS G73 gaming notebook reaches the US

Features Core i7, Radeon HD 5870 graphics


The ASUS G73, the latest addition to the ASUS gaming notebook line, is now available in the US. The notebook centers on a quad-core 1.6GHz Intel Core i7 processor and has similarly high trim levels elsewhere, including its 8GB of DDR3 RAM and a 500GB, 7,200RPM hard drive. Graphics is handled by an ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5870 with 1GB of GDDR5 RAM

Intended as a desktop replacement, it has an LED-backlit 17.3-inch display with a native 1080p resolution. The system also has HDMI and VGA outputs. Other features of the ASUS G73 are its 2-megapixel webcam and an 8-in-1 card reader.
