HTC Bravo, Legend may launch next week
HTC, O2 UK and Qualcomm are set to launch a new phone together at Mobile World Congress, according to unofficial tips. The CEOs of all three companies are reportedly set to hold a press event on February 17th that will involve at least one new phone model. No clues have been given as to what the phones would entail.
Neither HTC nor O2 would either confirm or deny the plans to Pocket-lint.
Given the presence of Qualcomm, the introduction is likely to involve a high-end phone that would showcase its processors, such as the Bravo. It should be a rough parallel to the Nexus One that would follow the traditional carrier model and bring along a 1GHz Snapdragon, a 3.7-inch wide VGA AMOLED screen, a 5-megapixel camera and other typical smartphone features on top of Android 2.1.
Other candidates could involve the Legend, the spiritual successor to the Hero, or a GSM version of the Incredible.
