Palm release of webOS 1.4, Flash support dated

At a launch event in France on Tuesday night hosted by provider SFR and handset maker Palm, it was revealed that Flash support for Palm webOS handsets is due later this month. At the same time, a leaked document pinpoints the webOS 1.4 release at February 15th. The update was expected sometime this month, and is said to bring video capture for the camera, various changes to the calendar and messaging, as well as improved phonebook transfers.

Whether Flash support will come in the form of a separate app or be integrated into the browser remains unknown, but the latter is more likely to slow the overall operation of the browser. [via PreCentral]
