Touchy Remix table PC gets Mac Mini power
Very similar in concept to the Microsoft Surface comes a table-like PC from Intact Lab, dubbed Touchy Remix. The Touchy Remix is slightly different in execution from the Surface, however, as its fiberglass base caves inwards, giving users space for their knees when seated, unlike the box-like Surface. In the center of the device is a 40-inch touchscreen with 1366x768 (720p) resolution, while a fully integrated Mac mini powers the device.
This means either a 2.26GHz, 2.53GHz, or 2.66GHz Intel Core 2 CPU powers it, there is either 2GB or 4GB of RAM and at least 160GB of hard drive space. What special software is used to run the touch interface is not revealed.
Connections include four USB ports, while an iPhone/iPod dock is an option. The Touchy Remix was designed by German artist Janis Pönisch and is built around an aluminum chassis. It can be ordered in red, white or yellow or any other color for an extra cost. Pricing or release dates haven't been announced, but the Touchy Remix seems to be made to order. [via Engadget]

I'm clearing a spot in my living room
as soon as I finish typing this reply. I'll just toss my coffee table out and get the yellow model. I'll install Leopard Server on it and I'll be good to go. This will be the hottest device of the year, beating out the iPad by a wide margin.
Just kidding. I couldn't even think of a good reason to buy one since I've already got my MacMini hooked up to a vertical 42" HD TV and I want to sit far away from that. I guess it's good for the man who has everything and wants one more odd thing.
