Creative to begin pre-selling WoW gaming headset

Creative on Thursday announced it will begin offering the Sound Blaster World of Warcraft Wireless Headset for pre-orders on Friday. The special edition headset, as suggested, is themed around Blizzard's online RPG. The headset has two interchangeable lenses that feature either Horde or Alliance artwork and pack 16 million-color LEDs.

The headset has World of Warcraft voice presets that mask a user's voice, while the software interface mimics that of the game itself. More traditional features of the device include THX TruStudio PC audio technology, uncompressed wireless audio and a proprietary rechargeable battery.

The PC and Mac compatible headset will cost $249 and Creative will offer a wired version at the same time, priced at $189.

    Truly

That's fanboi material if I've ever seen it, at least at that price.

The wireless set is 160$ at amazon, so just an incredibly overbloated price vs. super incredibly outrageously sick price...

only an extra 110$ for a battery-draining lit design on the sides that you will never see, because you have them on, and no one else will ever see, because no one ever comes down to mom's basement.
