GScreen adds 17-inch screens, i7 CPU to Spacebook

GScreen has returned with a dual-display notebook it calls Spacebook. Versus the last model shown, that sported dual 15.4-inch screens, the new model is desktop replacement class with 17.3-inch displays. The screens are also LED-backlit, and the new notebook sports otherwise modern specs such as the inclusion of a 2.66GHz Intel Core i7, 4GB of RAM and a 1GB NVIDIA GeForce GTS 150M GPU to drive both displays simultaneously.

Other specs of the Spacebook include 7,200RPM hard drives that range from 320GB to 500GB in capacity, preloaded with Windows 7 Professional. A dual-layer DVD writer will be standard fare as well, as will a Wi-Fi connection and Bluetooth 2.1. The Spacebook is said to weigh less than 8lbs and is powered by a nine-cell battery.

The dual 17.3-inch Spacebook is said to be out in May, with prices starting at $2,895. [via Engadget]
