AT&T to get Sony Ericsson XPERIA X10 in spring?

An unnamed source representing AT&T has allegedly confirmed that the Sony Ericsson X10 will soon be offered at the wireless provider. According to a Tuesday report, it could be out as soon as April or May, which matches up with a release date for the handset over at Vodafone in the UK. Whether or not it will be changed at all for an American release isn't provided by the BGR contact.

The X10 is a multimedia smartphone and sports an 8-megapixel camera, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. It is said to arrive with the relatively outdated Android 1.6 OS, however, instead of the newer Android 2.0 or 2.1 as on other handsets currently shipping.

The X10 is also expected to come to Rogers in Canada, though no release dates are confirmed. Pricing on a two-year contract for the X10 is expected to come in at $199.
