Lenovo confirms new ThinkPads this Tuesday

Lenovo X201 and more likely due next week

Lenovo this afternoon confirmed what many had suspected by saying it would launch new ThinkPads on February 23rd. The teaser doesn't provide any details other than that the launch will target "mobile workstations," although it will very likely include the X201 and several other PCs. A ThinkPad tablet is similarly expected but is more likely to be a convertible tablet than a pure slate.

The PC builder is known primarily to be upgrading its line to take advantage of Intel's 2010 mobile chips, including the Core i3, i5 and i7. If the X201 is part of the updates, most other changes will be internal rather than ergonomic.
