AirLive intros Air3G 802.11n multifunction 3G router

Connection automatically switched as needed
AirLive has introduced the Air3G, a multifunction router capable of working with USB-attached wireless broadband modems. Users can configure the the router to choose the wired connection for primary use, while the 3G modem is automatically enabled only if the primary connection is disrupted. To help prevent overage charges on a wireless broadband account, the router automatically switches back to the standard connection as soon as service resumes.
The device integrates a 1Watt transmitter which is claimed to extend the maximum range out to 500 meters in optimum conditions. Devices can be connected using any of the 802.11b/g/n Wi-Fi standards, with maximum speeds of 150Mbps. The company's AirLogic software supports Hotspot Gateway authentication, bandwidth control, a firmware recovery system, and more.
An AC adapter ships with the router, although a POE port allows the device to be powered using a CAT5 Ethernet cable. AirLive also offers a 12V adapter for using the router in a vehicle.
The Air3G is expected to ship later this month, however pricing information has yet to be announced.
