Upscaling adapter puts PC video on HD displays

Atlona Technologies has announced its latest video switcher/scaler, an external adapter that converts audio and video signals from a PC or laptop to digital HDMI. Dubbed the AT-HDVieW, the adapter automatically upscales the signal to the external display up to a full 1080p HD resolution. The adapter incorporates VGA and stereo audio cables for signal input and is powered entirely by a single USB connection.

The adapter should work for output from any computer or other device with VGA output. Atlona plans to begin shipping in late February 2010 for $119.
