Nikon may have special camera in store
Nikon has just recently begun teasing a likely new camera launch to the French through a series of mystery cards. Starting from the number 8, the company has been counting down and dropping small hints with each card. The first card mentioned "I am" while the second said "I am fun," implying a single, non-professional camera.
What could be launched isn't immediately clear. A rumored D700 replacement is unlikely given the sheer cost and pro focus. Some have suggested the product may be Nikon's first mirrorless interchangeable lens camera, though few tangible pieces of evidence have surfaced, and it may not show until the Photokina expo in Germany this September.
The card countdown is set to expire on Friday, March 5th, just before a March 8th morning press conference in the UK that may herald whatever Nikon is planning to announce. [via Nikon Rumors]

D90 replacement?
Though still a big seller and very capable, the D90's been around for a while and due for an update.
