Nexus One set for more carriers early spring

A significant rumor on Friday has pegged the Nexus One for a launch on Vodafone in April. Living up to expectations set at Google's press event, sources near the two partners told the Telegraph the European version of the phone would only be sold through the google.com/phone page and would likely carry service plans in step with those available for the iPhone on Vodafone's networks throughout the continent. The Android flagship should have the multi-touch given to the American version through a recent update.

While not a definitive sign of other plans, an April release would line up with a spring release window for the Verizon model. The CDMA variant was just spotted at the FCC and thus shouldn't have any significant remaining barriers to its appearance within a matter of weeks. Both it and the Vodafone model will differ only in the choice of networks.
