Android flagship may get CDMA at CTIA

The Nexus One for Verizon could launch alongside the CTIA cellphone show, a rumor from a Google employee says. Now that the phone has been FCC approved, the staffer expects Google's CDMA Android phone to launch on March 23rd, the first day of the convention. It's not known if the unveiling would also set a date for the Vodafone model, which is currently thought due in April.

The Neowin contact doesn't provide pricing, though it's unlikely that Google and Verizon will charge more than the $179 on contract or $529 unlocked that are demanded for the T-Mobile version. A CDMA Nexus One isn't expected to change more than the phone networking as the 3.7-inch AMOLED, 1GHZ Snapdragon and 5-megapixel camera are believed to be common features.
