Archos Vision A30VC follows Apple
Archos' new Vision players for the year have been revealed early through a German release ahead of time. The A30VC guns directly after the fifth-generation iPod nano and incorporates a camera on the back: compared to its rival, it can not only capture videos but still shots as well. Like the Archos 3 Vision it replaces, the new version has a 3-inch touchscreen as well as an FM transmitter and radio to broadcast its sound or take in a live feed.
The player will only come in an 8GB capacity and run for a relatively low 14 hours of music. It should cost about 90 euros ($122).
Others are relatively basic but are highlighted by the A14VG, a relatively unique, very small square player: its form is dictated by its 1.4-inch display, but it can still show photos and play video. This along with 4GB of storage will make it the cheapest player in the mix at 35 euros ($47).
Alongside this are the A15VS and A18VB, more conventional 1.5-inch and 1.8-inch players with 4GB and 8GB of storage that respectively cost 40 and 50 euros ($54 and $68); the A24VB, a 2.4-inch non-touch parallel to the A30VC that brings a camera for 70 euros ($95); and the A43VB, a 4.3-inch video-oriented player with 8GB of space and a microSDHC slot for 100 euros ($135).
Archos hasn't said when the new models will ship. [via dapreview]
