MSI FX400 and FX600 pack dual graphics

Although it hasn't made had a formal unveiling, MSI at CeBIT today unveiled a new series of notebooks with two models. The 14-inch FX400 and 15.6-inch FX600 will carry NVIDIA's Optimus to give them dedicated GeForce 300M-series video without spoiling their battery life. Both will aim for a designer look with a textured bronze finish and silver trim.

Hard specifications aren't yet available, but either will use a mobile Core i5 variant as well as four 2W speakers to put out stronger than usual sound in the category. MSI caps the maximum memory at 4GB and is likely to ship either system with that amount already installed.

A release date and a price weren't part of the FX series debut, but MSI usually exports its notebooks to the US and provides launch information when the systems are closer to shipping. [via Notebook Italia]
