Two new Acer projectors support GeForce 3D Vision
Acer on Tuesday introduced two new projectors that can throw up stereoscopic 3D videos and images with the H5360 and X1261. Either DLP projector is compatible with NVIDIA's GeForce 3D Vision technology and can transform standard 2D content into 3D images. The H5360 is capable of a 720p HD resolution and has a 2,500-lumen brightness rating along with a 3200:1 contrast ratio.
Acer says the H5360's 50-120Hz vertical refresh rate also helps it create realistic 3D images. It has an HDMI port for showing source material from Blu-ray and upconverting DVD players, along with a VGA port, three RCA jacks, one component video, one S-video, and a 2.5mm audio mini-jack.
The Acer X1261 has the same specs save for a lower, 1024x768 resolution and a 3,700:1 contrast ratio. It also loses the HDMI connection, three RCA pairs and a VGA input.
Both have one 2-Watt speaker, though external speakers can be connected. Lamp life is rated at 4,000 hours, while 40 degrees of vertical offset can be corrected.
Both are now available, with the H5360 priced at $699, while the X1261 costs $579.
