Acer K11 boosts image quality, adds SD
Acer as part of a mostly Europe-focused update at CeBIT has added a new pico projector. The K11 still uses DLP and fits in a pocket but gets a boost with an LED lamp. Moving to the technology helps increase the contrast to 2,000:1 but also extends the lifetime of the lamp to 20,000 hours and uses about 30 percent less power.
The display is intended first and foremost for computers and has both a USB port and an SD card slot to load photos and other files directly. Its picture reaches a relatively low 200 lumens of brightness but doesn't preclude regular projector features, such as support for either standard ratio (4:3) or 16:9 widescreen images, vertical keystone correction of the image up to 40 degrees and a quick cooldown that permits taking out the power cord without risking damage.
Acer hasn't supplied pricing or ship dates. [via Pocket-lint]

A bit short
This could be interesting news if there was any mention of size, weight, resolution, or power consumption - as in 30% less than what.
