Device merges e-dictionary with MID functionality

iRiver has announced a new e-dictionary, the D1000, which integrates features found in many MIDs or media players. Aside from the dictionary functionality, the device offers Wi-Fi connectivity, web browsing, and 720p video playback. Supported files include documents, pictures and audio, along with video formats such as MKV and T-DMB.

The 5.5 x 3.2 x 0.7-inch housing folds open to expose a QWERTY keyboard and 480x272 touchscreen. A 1350mAh battery is claimed to last up to 15 hours during dictionary use, 28 hours for audio, or seven hours when watching videos. The basic model provides 8GB of internal storage, with 16GB available as an option.

It is unclear if the D1000 will be sold outside of Korea. Pricing and launch information also remains unknown. [via Pocketables]
