HTC Android phones ready in under 1 month

Amazon UK today tentatively set a date for the UK release of the phones HTC launched at Mobile World Congress last month. The Android-based Desire and Legend are both listed as reaching the country April 1st, where they will cost £529 ($795) and £400 ($601) as unlocked, carrier-independent models. The Windows Mobile-running HD Mini is inexplicably due to ship later, on April 14th, but will cost a more moderate £369 ($555).

The phones are known to be getting carrier deals, one of which will be for the Legend on Vodafone. There, the unibody aluminum phone will cost just £2 when attached to a £25 ($38) or higher monthly plan with at least 300 minutes and unlimited SMS. It should be available on the network by late this month. [via Engadget]
